If there were eight teams, there would be much more scrutiny for the last spots, and Ole Miss would get it over Miss State due to head to head win and better OOC schedule.

I agree. there are a lot more good 2 loss teams than 1 loss teams.

Doubt it. Miss st had two losses, Ole miss had three

Maybe so. I like the idea of expanding it though. I'd rather choose between who slides in at 8 over 4.

I think 6 is the best number with two byes, but you would run into massive bitching over who would get the bye.

Ole Miss would also have the most embarrassing loss.

Getting shutout 30-0 to Arkansas is not something you can just overlook.
