So basically the same thing that would happen at any other large financial institution?
The smaller regional banks, community banks, and credit unions should have better customer service, flexibility, and rates. For home/personal loans, I would rarely recommend a "large" bank.
As far as credit cards go, who cares what the interest rate is? You shouldn't be carrying a balance. Larger banks offer better rewards. I like Capital One's CCs due to the venture points and no international fees. This card may not make sense for everyone.
The bank you choose should fit your needs. I bank with Capital One for my checking account, emergency savings account, and credit card services only. It is easy to manage my day to day cash needs on the website and pay my bills.
My mortgages and other accounts are not with Capital One, as they don't offer competitive structures or rates.
