I've owned a Lacy and have several friends that know this breed like the back of their hand. They breed dogs primarily for blood tracking deer

Lacy's are full of energy and need lots of exercise. Plenty of room to run. A small backyard or confined in the house will only make the dog go stir crazy.

The Lacy was originally bred as a herding dog and do well around livestock. Very smart and obedient, and reminds me of a Vizsla when it comes to temperament.

I'm pretty sure ours could understand English like a person. I have plenty of cool stories about her.

She hearded cows, treed squirrels, tracked dear, barked at the meter man, rode on the roof of the truck, killed raccoons, etc.

A very awesome dog.
