My old man had one.
The best general purpose dog breed there is IMO. I'll try to be more descriptive later on.
Eta: not sure if she's still involved, but Marlo Riley used to be head of the lacy game dog registry in Texas. She was very enthusiastic about it and I'm sure she would love to help you decide if the breed is a good fit if she's still doing it.
