no, high mileage oil is nothing more than a sales gimmick...if you decide that you have to do something, just go to a heavier weight of oil...but that shouldn't be necessary either...

one thing that you should do at 100K is to flush your coolant system...also may want to look at changing all belts and hoses if you plan to keep the vehicle a while...

This. If your vehicle is equipped with a timing belt instead of a chain, get that mf'er changed...

This, due to wear it may be better down the road to bump up the viscosity a bit.

High mileage oils just have seal agents and more detergents, which are irrelevant if you've kept your engine clean throughout it's life and used quality gasoline.
