Wilson’s a great recruiter and would represent LSU well

there is statistical evidence that "coordinator experience" is highly overvalued in head coaching searches

No
Frank has proven a great recruiter and good position coach. There's a whole lot more to the HC job. I'm sure he'd be a candidate but not on top of the list.

quote:Frank Wilson would be another "Larry Porter at Memphis" at LSU. Has never been a Head Coach (Except in High School) or Offensive Coordinator at the college level. Yeah boy, he's going to be the head coach at LSU.

Frank does not merit this. He has never been a head coach or coordinator on the college level. He is a class act and does a great job at LSU. Personally I think he would be crazy to give up a job where he has security and is making about 700,000 a year. LSU will keep Frank regardless of who the head coach is at the time.
