part of me says I would have taken a pic with me the deer and the kid who shot it and let him have it.. there will always be more deer and it's for a kid.. the other part says, back strap and the kid will learn to shoot better and never forget losing out on the deer.. I'd probably give it up

You shouldn't teach kids that shooting bucks in the leg is acceptable and you get a kill out of that. frick that, i wouldn't have let the kid touch my buck.
