re: Low Annual Bonus

Our firm pays out bonuses after the first of year in order to allow year end collections to come in. So it's usually paid out around Feb 15th (we are on a calendar year). I've been in other firms that are on a fiscal year ending May 30 so the bonus is paid in July.
I've never gotten a Christmas Bonus anywhere.
I would try to clarify what that amount is. Did they specifically tell you it was for your annual bonus?
Honestly, first year (really 6 months) I would be happy with anything. A bonus is just that in a CPA firm. It's not like other industries where the bonus makes up a major part of comp.
