Please give me hope tRant.
There is no hope.
let me tell you how this will play out over the next 8-9 months.
Late Winter: Less Miles will say both QBs are progressing nicely, and that the competition is wide open.
Spring Game: AJ will play with the #1 offense and will look significantly worse than BH playing with the 2s. Miles will say that both played extremely well and have a want to compete.
Summer: BH will be invited to QB camps and reports will be that he is lighting it up. AJ will be invited to a camp, no reports will be made by independent sources. However, Miels will say that he too is lighting it up.
Camp: Miles will continue to say the QB competition is open and that both are fighting hard as good team members with a lot of passion.
First Game: AJ will start and play the entire game, except for maybe some garbage time. MAYBE. Miles will say the opportunity didnt present itself to get BH in the game.
Rest of Season: AJ will continue to start. The reason floated will be that AJ has a whole year of experience as a starter in the SEC and thus puts LSU in a better chance to win.

hey buddy....did you enjoy the win against A&M? i was looking through your post history to see if there were any congratulatory posts but couldn't find any.
i found that odd considering you're such a huge LSU fan. figured there was a glitch in the matrix or something.

Your first mistake is actually putting stock in anything Miles says. Like most coaches, I doubt he enjoys talking to the media, and I doubt even more that he feels he is obligated to give them truthful answers (frankly I tend to agree)
The biggest question for me this offseason is whether or not 2014 will be another "watershed" moment for the program. I think most would agree that LSU's offensive approach drastically changed following the 7-5 2008 season. 2014's 8-4 is the second worst record under Miles in his 10 years here. While the defense struggled early, I think most of the blame/reason for the 4 losses lies at the feet of an inept offense. Does Miles and co. change their approach on offense again like they did following 2008? Is finishing 5th of 7 teams in the SECW (AU holds the tiebreaker) enough to force Miles to "evolve"? We saw a few new wrinkles in the offense against A&M which clearly led to one of the better offensive performances of the year. Can we expect (hope?) that was the beginning of a "new" LSU offense?

quote:This rant was a total waste of time. If Harris plays better in the spring and doesn't think he will start in the fall, he will absolutely be gone. Scenario also leaves out juco qb recruits.
