Why do people say stupid shite like this?
There's nothing wrong with sharing a feel-good story. If anything, it could work to inspire others to help those in need, and show them that good things happen to good people in the end.
People on the OT need to give it a rest with the automatic assumption that anyone who draws attention to a good deed is doing so for pure self gratification.
