Maybe the whole country needs to look at themselves in the mirror.

To the OP, yes. GWB had race relations going forward in this nation DESPITE the hatred that was been spewed at him constantly from the left and the so-called black leadership of this nation.
What EXACTLY did the 'white' people create? Seems like the white people of this nation have bent over backwards to try and help elevate the black community.
The major problems the blacks in this country face are mostly of their OWN making.
There are no longer any Jim Crow laws...heck every effort is made to ensure blacks are promoted in just about every aspect of US society.
