funny how that happens, he tends to go where he knows talent it coming. I mean why move around so much around the area. Abbeville, Kaplan, Carencro, Crowley, Catholic?

It's essentially akin to getting a promotion and pay raise at almost each stop, not talent jumping. If that was the case he could have stayed in Carencro the rest of his career.

He began at Abbeville and took over Crowley which had been down but had better tradition and resources than Abbeville and he won there also.

He decided to give college coaching a try and joined Derek Dooley's staff at La. Tech and discovered as good a friends he was with Dooley, college coaching/recruiting wasn't his cup of tea with the time away from home and was able to land the job at Kaplan where he was a friend with the principal.

He made Kaplan better before Carencro, which won Lafayette Parish's first state championship with Kevin Faulk, hired him away. He went from 3A football to the 5A level and reached the Superdome before ultimately getting the chance to return to his alma mater and where was living the whole time in New Iberia.

I personally know Brent Indest.... He is a gamer, always has been and believe me he doesn't have to look for schools loaded with talent... He can take an average Joe kid and make something out of him... Always has that fire in him that makes him tick and its not just in football , it's in any sports,....
