So you are going to get the check then return them?

That's fraud, dude.

Oh...and about that TV

quote:

The particular model that Best Buy is offering -- the 50A400 -- scored a modest 6 out 10 on AVForums: "We have seen a number of excellent TVs from Panasonic this year but sadly [this] is not one of them. In fact, it's one of the worst TVs we have reviewed so far, failing on almost every level to deliver the kind of performance ... we would expect from even a budget TV."

Yes that is fraud. You are using the price protection to make money. I am willing to bet Discover has a disclaimer in their policy against this and probably even classifies it as fraud.

When I was a kid my PS2 broke. I bought a new one from Comp USA and bought the $30 insurance that covered everything. Went back a week later and traded the old broken PS2 in for a new one. It was pretty shitty but I ended up with two PS2s.

Discover isn't going to allow you to profit off that if that's what he plans on doing. Might as well return them and leave them for the people on Friday

Exactly. When the store credits it back to your card, which is their policy, Discover is going to want their checks back or will just bill it to his card.

If he can flip them on Craigslist to get his investment back and still get the checks from Discover than he did. He won't be able to return them though and get away with it.

I mean you thought you were going to receive the check and return them to the store for a full refund?

Yeah there's that but I still figure I made out quite well. Also have a few pairs of Beats headphones but plan on gifting them.

You are going to have a hard time getting your money back for them I bet. Everyone that wants a new TV will be getting them cheaper during the holiday sales than what you can sell them for.

You paid $550 each for them? No way you get that back to make this profitable.

I could ask $400 each for them and bank $200 per set.

You won't get $400 each for them when there will be tons of deals in store for that or cheaper for the next month.
