What video are YOU watching? You can't see shite besides the cop car pulling up close and the kid getting up from the table, approaching the cop car and fiddling with a gun in some sort. All this "frightened child" stuff is made up in your head that isn't on the video.

Because you know it's a fake gun. The caller said it's probably a fake gun. You know he was probably hiding it. But if the cop drove their thinking kid with fake gun and in the last second they see kid approaching the vehicle reaching at his waistband, errors in judgement could easily occur. This is a serious error in judgement though. They should have approached him like he was dangerous and at a distance. Kid wasn't even given a command to freeze or to get down on the ground. This one won't be easy and personally, I have no idea what the punishment should be.
