I will take a small young deer before the end of the season. I hunt my own place and do the hell what I want on it. Besides that, I'm old and old deer meat is hard on my guts. I did the horn thing for many years. Guess what? I still let good bucks walk if I don't feel up to cleaning the nasty bastards. I enjoy just getting out there.
