I've been on 8 flights this year and don't remember anyone having anything confiscated. I don't think it would be that big of a deal for TSA to have you fill out a form and have your items delivered to the address on your ID. Plus, they could even have a service charge to offset their costs and generate revenue

I want my shaving cream back. Cracker jack tsa inspector said he would dispose of it for me. I am sure he did.
