Right after 9/11 a company started a business putting a mailing box at the checkpoints that charged like $10 for a stamped box that TSA would throw items in and mail it to your house. You put $10 in the machine and gave the box and your address to TSA. Guess what? No one wanted to pony up $10 for a hand sanitizer and shampoo. Company went broke.

I've lost 3 or 4 pocket knives to the tsa. Didn't remember it was in my pocket until I had to empty them. I would have gladly paid for shipping to send it to my house instead of watching them throw it in the trash
