Mett's cannon of an arm didn't hurt either, but I wouldn't exactly classify Mett as "mature". Athletic qb's do add an extra element, but is that a reason to recruit them exclusively?

We pretty much ran Rettig out of the picture b/c he was a pure drop back qb.

Mett matured as QB in his final year and was able to utilize his natural talents like never before. Having one online class and an NFL coach helped him focus on his game.

If you think that's true then I have some bad news for you. Rettig didn't have the work ethic, and he wasn't even a pure drop back QB.

That's exactly what they've try to do with DT QBs. Jennings scrambled all night against Arkansas and Alabama. They had to tell Jennings to be more decisive and just run forward instead of waiting for receivers to present themselves in front of him.

Rettig was also having severe problems playing from under center. He was in a shotgun only spread offense in high school. He also had choppy feet. Trust me, You would not have wanted Rettig back there for some of the beatings Jennings has taken this year.

False. He left because he was grossly inferior to AJ. Think on THAT for a minute.
