All very good questions and you can find the answers on the 'net. The MO DA has released to the public ALL the testimony and information the Grand Jury looked at. The testimony by itself is >1000 pgs. I've not taken the time to review the info, but here's a tip: according to Mayor Giuliani, Witness #10 provided the most useful testimony and largely corroborated Officer Wilson's version of events.

Any semi automatic pistol will not fire out of battery. The slide has to be all the way forward or the trigger will pull and the weapon won't fire. It's not specific to any manufacturer. Geez.
