It's funny how last year, Saints fans were pissed that they didn't get a home game despite having a better record than some teams hosting a playoff game.

But now they are completely fine with the idea of going 6-10 and getting a home game.

The problem is that since realignment there are simply not enough division games on the schedule. Theoretically, since you only play 6 division games now, you can lose every one and finish 10-6. Before at best 8-8. Opposite is also true, can win them all and finish 6-10 overall. This lack of intra divisional games is the issue. Unfortunately, playing 9 divisional games creates Home Away inequity. And I doubt anyone is interested in going to 12.

It is what is and despite it having this crucial flaw, I still consider it the best playoff format in pro sports but it's not completely perfect.

God forbid a 6-10 team wins the super bowl. Because that will show how ridiculous the whole thing is.

You mean a 6-10 team playing and winning four football games and earning all the wins fair and square?

That's what I love about NFL Playoffs, anyone can get hot, go on a roll and win it all.

Sorry to burst your bubble but I'm a saints fan and have no issue with it. I didn't complain when it happened with Seattle as well.

Saints fans were pissed that we blew the Carolina game. I personally don't know of anyone who bitched about play @ Philly.

This feels like a made up argument.
