Missed the sarcasm. I couldn't get past 46k sticker on any wrangler. I love mine... But some people get their arse handed to them at dealerships.

I got lucky. Service put Sahara wheels on a sport and salesman ok'd it. Came to me after paperwork and offered 2 free oil changes to return the 2500$ of 17" alloys with all terrains for the 16" aluminum with slicks. I politely declined.

Yeah, I took a beating on it and I could have picked out any other jeep on the lot for 10-12k less but it was the one I wanted.

OP, if you're not looking for new jeeps and don't mind driving, select jeeps in league city, tx has a bunch of jeeps ranging from late 70's CJ's all the way up to 2013 JK's. I bought my daughter's 2nd jeep (2004 LJ) from there and they were there to make deals. Great experience with them. They also deliver for a fee.

I'm guessing a Rubicon for that price?

I've wanted a jeep since I was 15. I was planning to get one last summer but my wife and I had twins recently. Still considering looking at four doors but I don't know if it's practical for me right now

As long as you like it!

OP: Check out some of the local clubs too. They can give you a lot of advice and many of them are online. Acadiana Swamp Crawlers, Louisiana Jeepers, All Jacked Up, South Louisiana Jeep Association, Bon Temps... Most of these are Lafayette/Houma but I believe Hammond and several other cities have groups as well.

4 doors are great for families but fuel mileage will be much less than other SUVs. I get about 16 in my 2dr manual.

Very nice!

My husband soooo wanted a softtop for his Rubicon(we are a Jeep couple..I have my Sahara, he has his Rubicon, both unlimited ). However he also really wanted a manual(which is VERY difficult to find) so he had to settle for a hardtop manual when he bought his 2013 Rubicon.

Thanks

Dual top group was some of the added cost on the sticker. During the warmer months, it never sees the back windows. I pulled all the carpet and bedlined the floor a week after I got it.

What did the bed line run you? I was thinking about it.

Materials. We do spray-in-liners at my shop. I've done quite a few jeeps but all for friends at friend prices.

How much would that cost someone normally though?

Sorry, I don't like to post prices on chicken's board. I don't think he likes that. Call around and find a reflex dealer. It's better sound and temperature insulation and non slip then products like linex. (Although I think Linex looks the best)

Gotcha. I'm not local so I was just curious of a ballpark figure anyways. Does it make the Jeep much louder without the carpet?

Depends on the type of liner and the applicator. The thicker and rubbery(er) it is, the better the insulation. Mine's actually quieter now.

Price would also depend on the amount of prep work. Bring it to the shop with nothing but the shifter and the driver's seat and it saves a lot on the price.
