I’m losing my edge (punny) with the stone and steel, and other methods are equally time-consuming.
I use a steel every time I use the knife and it only takes 20 seconds. Don't wait until the blade gets dull.

Sharpening a knife is an art, yes thoes will work but like wick said you need to know the angles diff knives are cutting diff things and dictates the angles. So you dont want to grind everything the same angle deg. If you cook and invest in nice knives you need a system. I have paid people that were professional sharpeners and I can do a better sharpining job than they did.
do some research you will find a lot of info on the subject if you can cook chang the oil in your car you can put a nice edge on a knife you need the right tools and a little practice and education.
Once you get the knives sharp maintaining them is key and simple vs going for a full grind when they go dull.
