Different coaches handle QBs differently.

Every player is different mentally and there are lots of variables in a players development. There were moments where JJ looked great. The way he finished was surprising to me honestly. You know he had the ability.

That's the thing. It is nearly the same thing again this season as in 2010 without the improved play like seen from JJ the year before. We have a young QB struggling massively but with no recourse for his poor play. He got benched once and then came right back the next game and despite mediocre to bad play hasn't seen the bench since. I think Miles and company actually helped cultivate that mentality of "me first" or "do no wrong" into JJ.

When players don't have consequences for poor play, they don't get better unless they are a perfectionist. They screwed up JJ's head (partly on him too though) with how they handled things and are doing the same thing to Jennings.
