Rioters do, perhaps the special interest agitators do. The protestors do not.
Seeing the group of people gathered in Ferguson as a single, monolithic mob is a huge mistake.
People have the right to protest under our system. It is misguided in this case. Michael Brown made a number of bad decisions in this case, which resulted in his death. The officer did not hunt, stalk and execute the young man for being black or some other nefarious purpose.
Now, whether or not more law enforcement training is required or if their protocols in having solo officers investigate crimes with a high potential for confrontations with an offender may need to be revised as is the practice of having officers ride alone. IMHO, there is little question the arrest would have been made without incident if Wilson had a partner or backup when the confrontation with Brown began - in fact, I don't believe the confrontation would have happened at all. Brown and ole boy would have been detained, with Brown likely arrested on scene. He would have pled to a misdemeanor (if an otherwise clean record for stuff like this) and walked, at most, a few weeks later.
He chose poorly.
