I love people that talk bad about harris on the auburn game.... A true freshman his first start in auburn and auburn had 24 points on there first four drives..... Give me a break any qb would have cracked under that heat
Who's talking bad about him? He was as awful as the defense that day. No reason to sugar coat it. Magee had a quote in the post-game that Brandon was struggling to just call the play in the huddle. That on top of the smoke of him maybe not putting in enough effort in the film/playbook study it's not that hard to see why Miles went with Jennings. I'm not pissed that we didn't just hand over the keys to Harris. I just wanted him to have a few series a game like we did with Perrilloux in '07.

The thing that really irks me about the entire Auburn game is the team had basically 2 weeks to prep Harris for that start. Why in the world Les Miles didn't take the opportunity to get Harris comfortable, in a game setting no less, is beyond comprehension.
The New Mexico State game was a prime opportunity to not only start Harris, but give him plenty of reps to get comfortable with play calling in a live game setting. Sure the entire team had a bad game, and that is forgivable with the youth, setting, and everything else but to sit here and act like Harris was 100% at fault is complete horse shite. I'm not saying fire Miles or Harris should transfer, I'm just commenting on the way the Harris start at Auburn was handled (poorly).
