OK, so we passed on Johnny Football and Dak Prescott...our coaches did not want them as QBs.
Then, Russell Shepard...

Shepard was considered the top quarterback of the high school class of 2009 by both Rivals.com[2] and Scout.com[3] before converting to wide receiver upon arriving at LSU.

..how much confidence do we have in our coaches judgement of QBs.

they ended up at Texas A&M and Mississippi St, everyone passed on them. And Dak wouldn't' have worked here either, he was made for that spread option.

Wrong, we switched him to WR a year after he got here. We were probably the only school that offered him as a QB. I had a friend who worked for the football team filming practice, and he has a fricking weak arms is all he said. Like jennings he looked good slinging deep balls in high school. But when those throwing windows get smaller it wasn't going to cut it.
