We should press all game...I've been saying this since JJ got here. If you want to get out and run then embrace it fully and let your athletes play. Some will say they don't have the depth to press all game but they end up fouling less in the press and it speeds the tempo up.

They would be right to say that. I like the press. It's the one thing we do reasonably well defensively. But you have to go deep into the bench for this to be effective for 40 minutes.

I've given up on Jones being able to teach half court defense. He's proven that's not in his dna. Maybe it's time to go the Loyola Marymount route under Paul Westhead. At least it would be entertaining.

It takes a tremendous amount of energy to press all game. We don't have people on the bench who can come in and give the starters some rest. If we pressed the whole game or even half of it, the starters would be worn out by the time we get to SEC games.
