Seems like they hit the nail on the head with Beckwith to me. He missed just as many tackles as Welter did this year...he just looked bigger, stronger and more athletic doing it. Since he was inserted as a starter, dude has straight balled.
Miles has started plenty of young players (who had more experienced players ahead of them), and for the most part they all seemed to play at a high level.

You don't understand that was because they put their confidence in him and he was able to play without worried about being pulled for a lesser player at any second? He became a monster and was able to call the defense because he was finally given the snaps to figure it out. And even when he was missing tackles, he was still making 3 times as many plays as Welter.
