Yeah I have my doubts. The big lakes around us are Kincaid, oden and Indian creek reservoir on Alexander WMA and from what I've heard/seen there are hardly ever ducks there in huge numbers.
We bulldozed a 125 yd long, 35 wide section of a bayou that floods in the winter, and haven't seen a duck in it since we did it 3-4 years ago. Whenever it draws down in the spring and summer; it fills up with smartweed. And still no ducks. The water is super muddy so maybe that's why they don't like it, but once again I have my doubts.
