I don't think he said we "make" them money directly. I'd like to see my company make a dime with the IT departments there to set up, maintain and monitor EVERYTHING EVERY DAY.

No. It's really not like this at all
Football can survive without those other sports. A company isn't doing a damn thing without the IT folks making sure everything works
It's funny when the guy with 4 degrees and making $4mil a year has to ask me how to set up set up a rule on his inbox

yeah, it's no where near as black and white as he's making it out to be. and that's the never ending frustration between IT and business.
