I was in there a few weeks ago and they had Hopsecutioner, which was nice for a downtown bar.

Which is sad. Dont get me wrong I like the beer, but when thats the best there is downtown its a problem.

Hopefully this new place can fix that niche.

I'd love this place to work out, and the last thing I'm trying to do is be a hater, but it is a simple fact that downtown is empty Sun-Thurs.

Plain and simple.

And even if it IS expanding, that is going to take time. Like years worth of time.

This bar will not be able to support itself in the years it will have to wait for an influx of new people.

Beyond that, if your bar is essentially closed 5 nights a week, your beer WILL GO BAD. Busier bars like Bulldog and Pelican have beer go bad. And they sell a decent amount of beer to regulars on their slow nights. And they have busy shifts Wed-Sun.

I would love to see this bar work, and hope it does, but that # of taps is going to mean a lot of beer going bad because they're basically closed 5 nights a week. (I know they're not technically "closed")

Hopefully I get proven wrong though.
