Mett is starting as a rookie in the nfl but he couldnt beat out JJ/JL his first year here.

So yeah we can get nfl calibur talent. But if you want to use mett as a standard we can only get about one good year from it our nfl qb talent

Mett looked like hot dog shite in 2012 right up until the Bama game. People on this board were calling for him to be benched. He's on record saying his preparation did a 180 in the offseason. GTFO with this revisionist history bullshite.

This is the falsehood that's constantly repeated around here. What does "couldn't beat out" mean? Do you know?Where you there?

More than likely, talent wise he COULD beat out JJ and JL, who couldn't beat them out? They both sucked. The real argument is why Les Miles wouldn't let Mett on the field? Trust? He's new? He hadn't 'earned his keep' yet? This is the problem with Miles, he demands loyalty and perseverance for years first, before he trusts you and lets you on the field at QB. The whole philosophy just flat out sucks.
