Diversity of thought and culture is a good thing. Different academic standards for different races is backwards and penalizes good performers who happen to not fall into the right racial category.
These acceptance tables for medical schools in the US paint a grim picture about different standards being applied based on race. It's government sanctioned racism, and it's incredibly backwards.

Any black student with a 3.5 and a 29 MCAT score has an 80% chance of being accepted into a medical school, compared with a 33% chance for whites and 29% chance for Asians.
Black applicants with a 24MCAT and a 3.4 still have a 70% chance of getting in. If your white or Asian child posts those scores, they may as well not bother trying....they have less than a 1 in 4 shot.

So what do you propose?
if the students with poor entry scores are passing their boards and are graduating, what is the problem then?
Medical school admissions involve sit down interviews as well, so they also look for well rounded students as well

3.5 and a 29 MCAT are very good stats.

Wow. How in the hell can anyone justify this? We need the best and brightest getting into medical school, If that means no blacks (or any other race) so be it.
