August or Herbsaint would be my choice for that occasion.

Also consider Coquette. It's a place I usually am down on, but I went again last night, and of the 6 or 7 times I've been it was phenomenally better than any other visit. Top 3 meal I've had in Nola this year.

Tough to beat August. I've never been to Herbsaint.

Glad to hear you had a good experience at Coquette--I've still got to make it there for dinner. Really enjoyed my brunch experiences there recently.

So, decline is not real after all.

I would consider August and the tasting menu they have with the wine pairings or Gautreaus and whatever specials they are running.
