PLEASE LES, start Harris so that we can finally put an end to these threads.

Prior to AU it looked like the staff was more comfortable in putting Harris in the shotgun and letting him run a somewhat watered down version of the spread offense. There was the hope that because he was starting at AU, LSU was going to change up it's offensive approach. They didn't. LSU basically ran the same offense as they had with Jennings prior. In that game, with that offense, Harris went 3/12 for 58 yards (one pass covered 52 yard; the other two were screens). Of his 10 drives, 7 were 3 & outs (70%)

If you think that simply just replacing Jennings with Harris to run the same offense is the key to unlocking some explosive (or even just average) offensive attack then you're a fool. I'm all for making some kind of change to hopefully spark the offense. But just simply replacing one QB with the other isn't going to make a difference.

There is not a single fan of LSU that wants any QB ever to run the same type of offense that we have seen. Harris is a more athletic QB capable of making more throws, and in turn enables a coordinator to create a more complex offensive scheme. Problem is, our head coach wants to run 4 plays and thinks the key to winning is just executing them perfectly. He honestly believes we don't score point because we aren't executing, not that his offense could be run by a pee wee team.
