He was a system QB. He is pretty much Nick Marshall. It's the same reason why UGA switched Marshall to a DB. Now in a system like Gus' or at Oregon, or Arizona, or under Meyer, he could thrive.

Which was my point. In a spread option offense, it's very possible Shepard could have been good if not great.

But forcing a sphere into a square hole doesn't work so we just moved him around to try and get him on the field with our coach's lack of creativity.

Just think, if Pat White came here under Miles (or hell, Saban) he would have never played QB and we would have missed out on one of the best QBs in NCAA history.
