Or maybe you could include the extra bowl games
SEC teams have won 9+ games SIXTY-TWO times in the last decade with an average of greater than 10 wins a season. That's almost half the SEC.
(Including expanded teams throughout for consistency)
Look at the SEC this year...five teams with 10 wins after bowl games...with a couple of 9 win teams
2013: five teams with 10 wins after bowl games...with a couple of 9 win teams
2012: six teams with 10+ wins after bowl games...with a 9 win team
2011: five teams with 10+ wins
2010: five teams with 10+ wins (a 14 game winner) and three 9 win teams
2009: two teams with 10+ wins (13 and 14 game winners) and two 9 win teams
2008: four teams with 10+ wins after bowl games...with a couple of 9 win teams
2007: four teams with 10+ wins after bowl games...with a couple of 9 win teams
2006: four teams with 10+ wins after bowl games...with three 9 win teams
2005: three teams with 10+ wins after bowl games...with a couple of 9 win teams
10 wins isn't what it used to be

Ok....but for that stat to have meaning for your argument you'd need to relate that to a given coach or a given team.

THANK YOU!!!! Nothing annoys me more than when people defend les using only the 10 win stat!!! I usually respond with a sarcastic "oh lemme go run out and get my 10 win season commeorative tshirt" or "man I cant wait till we raise our ten win season banner in Death Valley next fall." I've never seen what is so special about a 10 win season and now I have proof.....nothing.
