Les/Cam spent the week of Auburn prep putting him under center so he could run their offense. They took away the shotgun and roll outs and what he does best. They had him trying to be a game manager instead of an athlete who makes things happen. They don't know how to coach someone who doesn't adhere to their rigid system.

That is what took Mett so long to develop here. And, this is Miles' system - not anyone else's. That is obvious. Cam is running Miles' offense.

If they would just let Harris play and coach to his strengths and slowly bring him along in their offense, we would have the best of both worlds. But, Miles cannot do that. If a QB is not ready to run HIS offense, then he is not ready.

Jennings is capable of running Miles' offense, but he is a terrible QB. But, Miles would rather have Jennings run HIS offense than a better QB do what HE is good at and Miles have to adjust.

That is what we have seen for the past 10 years. When it comes to QB play, we do not play to the strengths of the QB. We make the QB fit Miles' system. Jennings can actually run, but there is very little of that called for him. Mett could not run and it took him a while to adjust and for the coaches to finally figure out what he could do. Still, we lost games (Florida in 2012, for example) because we would not let him play his game.

That is bad coaching. You have to adjust to your players. Harris could not run Miles' system against Auburn and he probably can't run it now. Thus, Jennings.

I'm not disagreeing with most of what you are saying here. I just think that Miles' point of view is that the rest of the offense has been recruited and is suited to run the offense that he has in place. And that the QB is going to have to come and run the offense the rest of the team is suited too. I think he needs to change that some too, but I do think that is how he looks at the situation.
