I always thought Jose Feliciano's version at the 68 World Series was pretty cool... I saw it one of those sports century/30 for 30 type docs. In the context of the country being basically on fire that year with Vietnam, the assassination of king and Bobby K, and there had been race riots in Detroit. They said this version of the anthem set the tone for everyone to just chill and enjoy the series.
