Listening to Les talk is like going to the dentist.

Les speak. He speaks to the media that way because that is the language they deserve. At local speaking engagements around the state he sounds totally different.

He's an artist! Leave the man alone.

It's similar to the speech problems of George W. Bush. It comes across as being stupid. It has nothing to do with intelligence. Some people who are in public lime lights are overly careful how they express themselves. So, they start a sentence with an idea and then hesitate to check themselves about which word they should say next.

I guarantee you that when Les is talking to his wife and kids his speech is not as awkward.

Why listen to him cause he says the same thing every time he talks.
