yeah but that is a totally bullshite cop out about what is actually happening.

first of all, this was presumably a very huge event at the time (for Adnan) and being talked about every single day. there is not some six week leap where they just ask about an insignificant event all of a sudden. every day is a constant reminder and callback to the memory. every single day.

even if it took him a day or two of Hae not turning up to realize, "holy shite, that call with the cops and that entire day was huge" he hasnt forgotten yet. that memory thing is horse shite.

in fact, that's actually why i think he has some degree of involvement. he doesnt remember and always tried to forget ON PURPOSE because the memory puts him in a bad place at a bad time. like what the frick do you mean you dont know if you were at track practice or not? im not asking you to recall a conversation in 4th period (guess what, though! innocent people were able to because they realize that that day is significant and have never forgotten), but you dont know if you went to practice or not? come on.
