That is just silly. I hate Bryant and the Lakers, but that guy is definitely worth the money. The Lakers made over 60M in profit last season and will make even more this season. Bryant is their major drawl. Not having him would be catastrophic for them. He actually helped them out by taking way less than the max, plus he signed early so they would have more cap room earlier this past summer (his cap hold would have been over 30M). The team is going to milk his celebrity, so he's only right to get a fair wage for it.
