That's my point. The big ten has yet to cannibalize itself like other conferences have.

Agreed, but I still wonder why the Big 12 is getting such a pass. They didn't start cannibalizing themselves til 2 weeks or so ago, when they already had 6 teams ranked. Then when they beat these "ranked" teams it is a good win even when those teams are no longer ranked.

I know it's hard to really know who is top 25 and you have to do rankings every week, but this season has told us that if you put WVU and Maryland on a neutral field the game is close (WVU won @ home by 3). WVU played both TCU and Baylor close at home (beat Baylor and lost on last second FG to TCU), while OSU absolutely crushed Maryland at Maryland.

I didn't watch the unveiling last night, but was stuff like this brought up?

True for Minnesota. But Mich St has played Oregon, OSU, and Nebraska. Nebraska has played Michigan State, Miami and will play Wisconsin. Minn has played TCU and will play OSU, Wisc, and Nebraska. Wisconsin has played LSU and will play Nebraska and Minnesota.

If the favorites in each game hold serve, Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Nebraska will all be ranked with solid schedules. Ohio State will have had a weak schedule but they are 1 loss with a convincing win. So that will be 4 teams ranked deservedly in the top 20.

Yes, Minneosta is a farce who should have been canibalised but still, 4 teams EASILY in the top 20 is perfectly respectable. Add in a championship game and the conference isn't a total joke. I think a lot of the problem is OSU's schedule more so than the Big10. Just bad luck that VTech and Michigan are uncharacteristically terrible and they happen to not get 2 of the the 3 really good teams.
