AJ has been with the team just short of two full seasons and played one full. He's arguably regressed, this with an incredible O Line and stout running game.

I'm no QB guru but what stands out is that he struggles if his primary is covered and is unable to improvise and make plays happen. That should not be happening at this point.

My concern is that Miles will stick with AJ (like he stuck with Welter -clearly longer than he needed to) because we have a stout running game and all Miles thinks he needs is a game manager.

The result will likely be 2 more years of offensive mediocrity and our stellar freshman class will leave after their junior year and AJ will leave turning the reigns of a depleted team over to Harris who will only have 1 year.

This team is primed to make a run the next 2 years. I'd hate to see Harris sit the bench and not have a shot to compete on the field. No better time now that this season is limited.

Get Harris on the field.

Or he will lose my support.

I can't stand the idea of another year next year with a one dimensional offense

This "Harris is not going to get his shot/transfer" is so fricking awful.

Why does anyone think that?

LOL Les had nothing to do with Welter starting. Where do you clowns come up with this stuff?

Miles is paid $5 million to win games.

If he doesn't win, he has a chance to lose his job.

He's going to play the player that gives him the best chance to win today, not tomorrow.

In his eyes, that's Jennings.

I agree with what you are saying in general. I think it's time to invest in Harris so that we aren't in the same spot next year.

HOWEVER, yesterday on Moscona's show he was talking about how Harris was not even capable of consistently getting the correct play called at the line for the Auburn game. It's possible that Harris really isn't a viable option...not matter how much we want him to be. I'd still play him, but I recognize that him playing more than 25% might not be possible.

Even if splitting time causes a loss in the short term - something I strongly doubt because the current version of the passing game is largely ineffective and still turns the ball over - I still don't see how it wouldn't be worth it for the program going forward.

Harris' inexperience and lack of being able to handle pressure kills us. Jennings is the calm and colective QB right now, so let him play

Here is the rebuttal I keep using for anyone who says they should split time.

Are you ok with losing to A&M and Arkansas? If so, then I agree. If you want to win out, then shut the frick up and let the coaches decided who gives up the best chance to win.

Miles MUST not have a want to embrace the future at the expense of the current opportunity that presents itself before him.

Agree and despite what the score is.

Jennings to start but Harris needs real time action to develope/learn the game.

Look I want to see Harris, but you guys need to make up your mind. Does miles or does chavis coach the defense? Also they haven't stuck with welter. He played when beckwith was hurt.

I was going to comment that "the light comes on" for players when they get enough reps in game situations. However, if it is not even coming on in practice and they put him into an SEC game situation when he is clearly not ready, then you are asking for another Jarrett Lee scenario. NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE IMPACT ON MILES OF DOING THAT TO LEE. I suspect that if he is not mentally ready to manage the team, they will take their chances with developing him over the spring and summer and then let him compete next fall. Just a thought.
