It's disgraceful that FSU's last ranked opponent will have been their 7th game.

There's a chance that their opponent in the ACC championship game won't be ranked come game time either.

They've had an extremely weak schedule compared to the rest of the Top 10 teams.

Why is no one talking about the chopped liver they've played unimpressively against?

ETA: I think Arkansas could go 8-4 and maybe 9-3 against FSU's schedule.

They won't deserve to be in the playoff.

Because they're the defending champs and will be given a pass until they lose.

There's a reason they've won 25 straight games and are still number 2.

Extremely low chance that either Duke or GA Tech isn't ranked inside top 17-25 by then.

Miami has enough to take them out at home this week anyways so I wouldn't start complaining just yet. Yes the ACC is very weak with Clemson down and Va Tech not worth a flip.

Even the teams that are ranked when fsu plays them, are they really any good? Clemson? Notre Dame? Miami? Duke? Louisville? These teams, whether they're ranked or not, are mediocre at best.

If alabama, lsu, auburn, a&m, georgia, ole miss, miss st and maybe even Florida or South Carolina had fsu's schedule I think they'd be undefeated too

It's why 4 isn't enough for the playoff IMO. All conferences are not created equal. A team from a weak ACC or Big 10 will eventually get in and be pummeled while a deserving team from the SEC or Pac 12 will have to watch from home.

It should be about getting the best 4 teams in. Unfortunately hats hard to determine with such a disparity in schedules. Needs to be 8, that gives the selection crew a margin for error.

Florida State will likely make the playoff based on the fact that they won't lose, however there are 3-5 teams in our league that would be favored over them on a neutral field.

Mississippi State could go 11-1 with their only loss coming to a top 3 Alabama team on the road, they would have beaten 3 teams that finish in the top 25 in that scenario. Can anyone with a straight face say that wouldn't be more impressive than what FSU has done this year? It's just bullshite. I do hope they get in though, and I hope Alabama meets them in the first round, though any scenario where they both end up in the playoff likely means they sit at 1 and 2

If I had a dollar every time someone pumped up the Washington State University (in running form) of the east...

I mean what is FSU going to do? They can't control how the rest of their ACC schedule looks or UF falling off the map in recent years. Their schedule this year hasn't been that bad compared to some of their more recent years. Can't argue that they've been unimpressive in some of those

Think there is some underrating of Louisville and Clemson defenses though.

And this is different from the earlier FSU teams how, exactly?

This is going to hurt them come playoff time. I think they take a pretty good beat down in round 1 of the playoffs
