Back in the mid 90s - There was a fire road where you could drive right out to the end of one of the runways at DFW airport. Awesome for starry skies, privacy and planes pretty fricking close to your head.
I made several trips out there with a guy I was dating. He gave me the 1st hood to his Porsche to me as part of my Christmas present one year.

We kinda have the same thing around here and my ex had a Vette. I liked him then
