If you didn't have a trade-in, I'm assuming you paid about $1700 in TTL. If you go to the DMV to get a license and registration, you'll have to pay that.

Sounds like the dealership has your money and hasn't paid the taxes on it yet. Go by or call them and tell them they have 2 days to get your registration and license or you're going to the Used Motor Vehicle Commission. shite will get done. Good luck.

I had a used car lot years ago. 90% of the time I'd give the person the title and bill of sale and they'd go to the DMV or a title service themselves and pay TTL or their bank would handle it.

Only thing I can think of is they are having money problems and used your TTL for something else and don't have the cash to pay your TTL.
