Jones used to be SUPER into it. Don't say a word to him during the game, yelling at the TV, etc.

Then he realized he was ruining his entire weekend by being pissed off at something so stupid.

Now, it is still extremely important in the sense that we'd never skip watching or anything. We go to most home games (skip the unimportant ones in lieu of couch cuddling). But it isn't nearly as serious as it was for us.

For Saints games, we are in and out of the room.. doing stuff around the house, playing around on the internet, making food, etc. If one of us has something to say during a game, we know better than to go full story mode during a big play.. but we still chat plenty.

Watched the Saints at another poster's house a few weeks ago, and we all watched the game.. but the 4 of us visited just fine too.

Maybe her husband neglects her, so she fricks with him when she has the opportunity.

Yeah, my Dad was that way when I was growing up with Saints games. I mean of all teams it had to be the frickin Saints. So he was pissed a lot.

I just don't care that much about any sports teams to let it be more than entertainment because of that. I mean with almost everyone having PVR/DVRs now, you can just rewind the game and see something you missed. I enjoy watching the games with people especially opposing fans that aren't too serious/emotional about it. It's fun to rib each other and have a good time.

I think if it ever got to the point in my life where football game added stress instead of being a stress relief activity, I would have to quit watching.
