Loggers like to cut in the fall or summer when it's dryer. March might be too wet. Also, depending on the contract, once you sell the timber to a company, they can cut it at their convenience. Some contracts actually have a specified timeframe for the cutting to commence, or the logger loses the rights to the trees.
