Hate it when they do this...I think it tends to make some people yell less and just wave the damn towel

Complete bullshite.
Two of the loudest games in the history of LSU football had the towels - the 2012 Bama game and the 2000 Tennessee game (though the towels were white then) when LSU upset them and the fans rushed the field. I was at those games and the atmospheres were over-the-top electric. It wasn't because of the towels, but the towels didn't stop anyone from getting up and being loud.
Just show up and be LOUD - don't be pu$$ies complaining about towels. Stick the towels in your wives and kids mouths when they ask to leave early if you don't like them.
